
HRSA Recognizes Miami Beach Community Health Center for notable quality improvement achievements
MIAMI, Fla., August 29, 2022 – Miami Beach Community Health Center (MBCHC) earned eight Community Health Quality Recognition award badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Awards are based on 2021 quality data. Once again, MBCHC earned the coveted National Quality Leader award for Heart Health, ranking in the top 1-2% nationally of all health centers in the clinical quality measures that promote heart health, one of only thirteen health centers nationwide to do so.
“Our providers and clinical staff continue to deliver the highest quality care to all our patients regardless of their ability to pay for that care” said Trudy Pacheco, Vice President of Grant and Project Development. “For their efforts, we cannot thank them enough; these awards are a result of their hard work every day.”
This is the third consecutive year and the fourth time in six years MBCHC has been recognized as a National Quality Leader. MBCHC also earned the Health Center Quality Leader – Gold badge for achieving overall clinical performance in the top 10% of all health centers nationwide. Other quality award badges earned are for Enhancing Access, Reducing Health Disparities, Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality, Championing COVID-19 Public Health, Addressing Social Risk Factors, and having Patient Centered Medical Home designation.
